The next edition of Rally Costa Brava FIA will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the oldest rally in Spain.
The new date for the 60 Rally Costa Brava FIA will be 12-13 october 2012 (three weeks earlier than usual).

124 crews coming from 18 different countries will take part on the 59th edition of the Rally Costa Brava.
Some of the most interesting points for the spectators will be: 5 Lancia Rally 037, the SEAT Historical Cars, Toni Fassina, Antonio Zanini, Jean Ragnotti with a Renault 4, 3 Lancia Stratos, and the FIA historic championship teams.
Lloret de Mar is ready to receive the oldest rally of Spain.

The entries received from number 80 onwards, will be placed at Hotel Helios, or at 5 star hotels, as the paseo maritimo hotels are already full.
Hotel Helios is 5 minute walking from parc ferme and it has a parking just in front of it. This is a 4 star hotel at La Riera (with all the discos and party area).

"Tony" Fassina will come to the 59 Rally Costa Brava with a K-Sport Lancia Rally 037, as team-mate of Valter Jensen, Marco Bianchini, "Pedro", and Patrick Canavese.
More than 80 entries have been received till now at RallyClassics. We will probably see the most important entry list of the last Costa Brava Rally editions.

LLoret will be full of activity on Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of november.
On Friday morning a Shakedown will be organised, closing 2 kms of the old road from Vidreres to Lloret. The scrutineering will take place at the Paseo Marítimo, between the Village and the Podium.
A Service Area will be placed as well at the end of the Paseo Marítimo, making a very easy live for all the crews, living at the hotels situated just in front of the Parc Fermé.

Marco Bianchini (winner in 2010 Rally Costa Brava) and "Pedro" will run two Lancia 037 at the 59 Rally Costa Brava FIA.
The spectators will have the opportunity to see at least four Lancia 037 in Lloret de Mar, as we did some years ago with the European Rally Championship.

The special stage "Osor" will be included at the first section of the Rally Costa Brava, to keep the rally with 148 kms against the chronometer.
"Collsaplana" has to be shorted from 23 to 16 kms, and a good solution was to change the night passage on "Circuit de Sils" (1,89 kms) per a very good stage as "Osor" (13 kms).

From Monday 5th September the entries for the 59 Rally Costa Brava FIA are open, and RallyClassics has already received very good news. The first two Lancia 037 have confirmed their participation: Valter Jensen and Patrick Canavese will come again to Lloret de Mar to show their very nice cars.

Some news are beeing prepared for this edition, thinking on next years 60th anniversary, and Lloret de Mar will be fully booked with crews, organisation team, rally fans and spectators.
The rally will count for all the Historic Rally Championships and Trophies (FIA, Spanish and Catalan), including Regularity, and the entry list will be increased to near 150 crews.
Many rally fans are already preparing their trips with buses, coming from all Spain.
More than 600 people will be helping to the organising comitee, and about 100 teams will stay for a full week in Lloret de Mar.
All the seafront hotels will be fully booked with the rally crews, and the best 5 stars hotels will also get some entrants of the Rally Costa Brava, the oldest in Spain.

El 59 Rally Costa Brava está teniendo una excelente cobertura en los medios, especialmente en los canales de TV.
Esport 3 ya emitió por dos veces un reportaje de 30' comentado por un experto como es Salvador Servià, y se espera alguna re-emisión más del programa, dada la buena acogida que ha tenido.
TVE tiene a su vez dos canales a través de los que emite repetidamente un resúmen de 8 minutos del Rally Costa Brava: Teledeporte y TVE-HD.
El grupo Prisa también se ha hecho con los programas de 30' locutados en castellano, para su emisión en Canal + Deportes y Sportmanía.
MotorTV está estudiando la posibilidad de su emisión.
RallyClassics cede gratuitamente a los canales que se interesen (nacionales y extranjeros) sus imágenes, colgadas en un FTP. Para acceder a estas imágenes los medios interesados deben simplemente pedir las claves a logistica@rallyclassics.org

El jueves 11, a las 20h00 se emitirá por el canal deportivo Esport3 un reportaje de 30' sobre el 59 Rally Costa Brava, comentado por Salvador Servià, piloto ganador del rally en 1987 y actual director del Circuit de Catalunya.
El viernes 12, a las 15h30 se hará una re-emisión del resúmen, que será del agrado de todos los aficionados dadas las bellísimas imágenes que la productora pudo grabar durante todo el pasado fin de semana.

Triunfo de Raffaello Raimondo (Porsche 911-T) en el apartado de Regularidad FIA

Lloret de Mar (Girona), 5 de noviembre de 2011.- La potencia y agilidad del Lancia Rally 037, unidos a la calidad conductiva del noruego Valter Ch. Jensen, actual Campeón de Europa FIA de Rallyes Históricos, han podido con la eficacia y la regularidad del austríaco Ernst Harrach y su voluminoso Mitsubishi Lancer 2000T. Tras ser primero al final de la primera jornada y mantener el liderato durante la mayor parte de la segunda, Harrach ha cedido el liderato a Jensen en Els Àngels-2, completando la tercera plaza del podio el italiano Marco Bianchini (Lancia Rally 037), ganador de la última edición de la carrera lloretense.

 Como no podía ser de otra manera, el desenlace del 59 Rally Costa Brava-Lloret de Mar no quedará definido hasta la llegada de Lloret. Cuando parecía que el líder de apartado de Velocidad, el austriaco Ernst Harrach (Mitsubishi Lancer), iba a sucumbir ante la mayor potencia y agilidad de los Lancia Rally 037 del noruego Valter Jensen y del italiano Marco Bianchini, el actual líder ha contraatacado con el mejor tiempo en la segunda pasada por el dificilísimo tramo Tossa-Sant Feliu.

 Si las inclemencias meteorológicas se dejaron notar en la etapa de ayer en la prueba de Velocidad, no fueron menos importantes en la faceta de Regularidad. Todos los pilotos consultados han declarado que, si bien la lluvia y la niebla significaban otro reto que superar, no por ello dejaban de hacer mella en sus tiempos de paso. En el Trofeo FIA el líder es el galo Ghislain Gaubert (Porsche 911 SC), quien aventaja en sólo 3 puntos al italiano Raffaello Raimondo (Porsche 911-T) y al sorprendente tercero, el catalán Josep Maria Mia Bardolet (Seat 600D), por poco menos de 7 puntos. El resto de participantes nacionales no están lejos del podio, con Carles Miró (Porsche 911) en quinta posición, a 21 puntos de la cabeza, mientras Antonio Zanini (Porsche 911 SC) es séptimo y Carlos Beltrán (Porsche 356 C), undécimo.

Tras la primera etapa del 59 Rally Costa Brava-Lloret, penúltima prueba del Campeonato de Europa FIA de Rallyes Históricos, los austriacos Ernst Harrach-Leopold Welsersheimb (Mitsubishi Lancer 2000T) lideran la carrera con un margen de 5 segundos sobre los catalanes Enric Xargay-Joan Venceslao (BMW 2002) quienes, tras una actuación de muy alto nivel, han superado con claridad a numerosos especialistas de este certamen FIA. El dominador de la etapa, Mattia ‘Pedro’ Pedretti-Angelo G. Battanza (Lancia Rally 037), ha sufrido una salida de carretera en el último tramo que le ha obligado a abandonar. La actuación de “Pedro” había sido muy regular hasta ese momento, ya que excepto en Cladells-2 siempre había estado entre los tres primeros.

Hoy a las 20h se publicará la lista definitiva de inscritos, una vez la FIA y la RFEdA hayan puesto el orden a las solicitudes validadas.
En carrera los participantes de Regularidad FIA serán los primeros en tomar la salida (con los dorsales 101 en adelante), seguidos de los pilotos de Velocidad FIA-RFEdA (con los dorsales 1 en adelante).
Tras ellos saldrán los equipos de Regularidad RFEdA-FCA (dorsales 151 en adelante) y finalmente los que solo cuentan para el certámen autonómico de regularidad (dorsales 201 en adelante).
