Until the end of the inscriptions (16 February) all the drivers that want to take part at Regularity Sport must send to RallyClassics (by e-mail rallyclassics@rallyclassics.org or by fax 938458544) a copy of the licenses or the ticket.

Just those drivers with a federative license can take part at Regularity Sport with higher averages at the closed stages. The rest of the entrants will do averages up to 50 Km/h.

This weekend we publish the provisional itinerary of the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic, waiting for the confirmation of Andorra and Servei Català de Trànsit. It is the first time that the itinerary is published three weeks before the event, which will allow the teams recognize the sections. This decision has been taken by the organisation and the town councils who wait for a major presence of the principal teams in the days before the event.

It's finalized the edition of an exclusive commemorativly book, of the first five editions of the Rally Costa Brava Historic.

The book will be of great quality, with hard lids and 150 photographic pages. A work that every participant will want to have in his library.

The lack of confirmation by the principal sponsor of Andorra is the reason by which the definitive itinerary of the first two stages has not been published yet. We wait to be able to publish it the same week.

The third stage will be published during the next days, once be confirmed that the constructor of the Circuit Quate Rodes gives it to the escuderia after finishing the work.

The chain does an invitaion across RallyClassics, to all the entrants of the Rally: a free night with brekfast for two persons, in the Hotel La Glòria de Viladrau, a hotel with captivation that the drivers will be able to enjoy at any time of the year with availability and previous reservation. The perfect gift to begin the year.

With Arbúcies' Circuit extended to more than 1km, a prize has been established for the team who creates a major spectacle during his driving.

One night for two persons in the Hotel Torras, a dinner for two persons in the Restaurant l'Hostal Nou and some products of the Vall d'Arbúcies... that are donated by the GRHA and the ACBA.

Laia Sanz, the young rider of trial who has won 8 World Championships, will be the driver of  a Porsche 911 SC in the next Rally Costa Brava.

This vehicle yielded by RallyClassics and driven in other events by Mercè Martí, Pablo de Sousa or Jean-Pierre Nicolas, is receiving a Gr. 4 new look  done by Autoimport and Nou-Onze.

On the other hand, the ex-chief of Peugeot Sport and the current director of IRC, Jean-Pierre Nicolas, will take part in the Rally Costa Brava with the Peugeot 504 Coupé. The same car which Nicolas will drive in the Montecarlo Historique with nº 1.

The legendary driver Mauro Pregliasco ( famous in the 80s Rally Costa Brava for his participation with a sonorous Alfa Turbo) has entered in this edition with Andrea Francone's Lancia Stratos, who will be his co-driver.

Another Stratos will be driven for the Andrea's brother, Gianmario, who in the last years has done the delights of the public.

Salvador Cañellas has confirmed his participation in the Rally after one year without taken part in it, because of a bicycle accident where he broke his leg. This year will take part with one of the Garatge International's Autobianchi.

Pablo de Sousa, who "pinched" Cañellas co-driver for the Rally d'Hivern will have tot look for accompanist, because Daniel Ferrater will return to run with his chauffeur of the 70s.

Two of the entries received to take part in the Rally Costa brava Historic have its origin very far from Spain, becaue of the inclusion at the FIA Regularity Rallies Calendar.

Luis E. Orduña (father and son) are the winners of the Mexico's national championship in 1977, 2006, 2007 and the state championship in 2008.

On the other hand, Chris Greive - Colin Francis (Porsche 911 Carrera) ,will come from New Zealand to compete against the best European drivers.

The 20% of the requests of inscription received belong to foreign entrants, with a great number of Portuguese cars.

The english will be  represented this year by a minimum of 6 teams. And the Belgians, the Italians and the Frenchmen migth be the third countries in number of participants.

The chain Mar i Terra Hotels, offers the Hotel Miramar- in front of the Lloret de Mar town hall- as the headquarters of the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic.

Pablo de Sousa and Antonio Rius have confirmed their participation in the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic, in the modality of Regularity Sport. The spectacle is assured by these drivers, who have devoted themselves to do the delights of the public since the 80s.

Jordi Parro, observer of the FIA European Rallyes and in the Spanish Championship, will be the Clerk of the Course of the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic.

The stages closed to the traffic will have averages over 50 Km/h, and only will be able to make them the drivers with license, authorized helmet and fire-extinguisher (Regularity Sport). The rest of the entrants will be able to do averages up to 50 Km/h, and the roads will reopened after they go past.

The starting order will be for dorsal, the first number will be for the VIP drivers, the first entrants classified the previous year and the winners of the European Challenge and the Mediterrarian Trophy.

Later there will go the teams registered in Regularity Sport, the only ones that will be able to do high averages in stages closed to the traffic.

Then the classes: E, F, G, F, H, I, Eco and M on order of payment of the inscription.

If some teams want to go together (for reasons of assistance, or for the pleasure of going together) the organisation will be able to do it with the condition that the regrouping will be taking as reference the last one of the group.

As the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic is not a FEVA event, have returned to re-admit the class I, where we might see interesting machines as the Group B: Lancia 037, R5MaxiTurbo, Metro 6R4, Peugeot 205T16, AudiQuattro, Ford RS200...

With the intention of not force anybody to have a game of studded tyres, has been decided that the Grandvalira's Circuit will be optional. For the classification the organisation will take only the 10 best times, and the entrants (have done the circuit or not ) will receive the tenth time.

Hereby, the one who has contact tyres will be able to do also the circuit as spectacle, but without being harmed by the lack of studded tyres. And the one who has not even contact tyres also will be able to have a punctuation in spite of not have done the circuit.

During the briefing celebrated before the Rally d'Hivern has been presented the Catalunya Regularity Sport Trophy (unresolved until pass FCA's assembly), which first experience will be the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic. The entrants have showed an enormous interest and it seems that there will be a great number who deal with the license and start in the modality.

The President of FCA, Joan Ollé, has confirmed that the drivers who deal with the restricted license to do regularity, will not have to pass and effort test.

The Organisation of the Rally Costa Brava Historic is studying the possibility that the caravan would celebrate a long first leg driving through France and Andorra. The ACA is doing an excellent job that would allow the teams enjoy a few fantastic stages in Andorra, including one at the Grandvalira Circuit. There is no doubt that the teams which have studded tyres will wear them very well.

In front of the hotels booked by te organisation, the parc fermé will be already set from Thursday 26th of February. The Friday morning cheks will be in the same maritime walk, by what the cars will not need to be moved to the Polisportiu Municipal (sports complex).

The VI Rally Costa Brava Historic opens its inscriptions from December 1 to February 16.

The main innovation of the VI Rally Costa Brava Historic will be the closing of some sections to the traffic to do Regularity Sport, with superior averages to 50 km/h (only for drivers with FCA restricted license or higher). For the rest of the drivers no license will be necessary, and their averages will be up to 50 Km/h.
